Yes. For YouTube teachers, I would not sell ExamLion like a normal SaaS product. The pitch should be: “You already teach. We give you the free digital assessment infrastructure to support your teaching.”
Sample outreach email
Hello Sir/Ma'am,
I’m working on a project called ExamLion, with a simple goal: to help teachers provide their students with quality digital assessment tools without having to build or pay for the technology themselves.
You already teach Physics on YouTube. ExamLion can take care of the assessment side.
For example, after you finish teaching a chapter, you can simply tell your students:
“Take the Chapter Test on ExamLion using this code: XYZ123.”
Your students can then practice chapter-wise, take unit tests and full mock tests, while you can use their performance data to understand where your students are struggling.
There is no cost for you or your students.
You don't need to build a website, create a testing system, manage technical infrastructure, or pay for expensive software.
You focus on teaching Physics. ExamLion handles the digital assessment infrastructure.
Our long-term vision is also to identify talented students who may not have access to expensive coaching and eventually provide scholarship opportunities to deserving students.
If you are interested, I'd be happy to give you access and let you try it with a small group of your students.
Regards,
ExamLion Team
For a YouTube teacher, I'd actually make the first outreach much shorter. Teachers get tons of emails. The objective of email #1 should be to get them to try it, not explain the entire ExamLion vision.
And your question: “How will teachers know without ads?”
This is the critical growth problem for ExamLion.
You don't necessarily need conventional advertising. In fact, I would initially try to make the teachers themselves become the distribution channel.
Think about the loop:
ExamLion → Teacher → Students → Other teachers
For example:
You create an excellent NEET Physics test system.
You approach 100 YouTube Physics teachers.
10 teachers adopt it.
Each teacher gives an ExamLion code to 500 students.
Students start using ExamLion.
Some students tell other teachers:
“Sir, can you also put your tests on ExamLion?”
Other teachers discover ExamLion through their students.
That's much more powerful than simply buying ads.
I would build 5 acquisition channels
1. Direct teacher outreach
Find Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Maths and other exam teachers on YouTube.
Send them a highly personalized email/DM.
Not:
“Join our amazing platform!”
But:
“We built a free testing system for your students. Would you like to try it with one chapter?”
2. Teacher referral
Give every teacher a unique referral/invite code.
Teacher A introduces Teacher B.
Teacher B introduces Teacher C.
Your product spreads through the teaching network.
3. Student-driven discovery
This could become extremely powerful.
Suppose a student sees:
“Take today's test on ExamLion — Code: PHYSICS123.”
The student searches:
“ExamLion”
Now the student knows your brand.
Later another teacher sees students asking:
“Sir, can we take your tests on ExamLion?”
That's organic product distribution.
4. SEO
This fits your existing content strategy extremely well.
Instead of trying to rank only for:
“online mock test”
you can build thousands of useful assessment pages around:
NEET Physics Mock Test
NEET Current Electricity Test
NEET Thermodynamics Test
JEE Physics Chapter Test
Class 12 Physics Test
BPSC Mock Test
SSC CGL Mock Test
etc.
The test itself becomes the marketing.
5. YouTube teacher partnerships
Eventually, you could create an “ExamLion Teacher” program.
A teacher gets:
Free digital classroom + tests + analytics + student codes
and you promote participating teachers on ExamLion.
That creates a mutually beneficial ecosystem:
Teacher gets technology and reach.
Students get free assessments.
ExamLion gets distribution.
The bigger insight
Your real competitor isn't necessarily another test platform.
Your biggest enemy is:
“I don't need another platform.”
So don't ask teachers to change how they teach.
Make ExamLion almost invisible.
They continue teaching on YouTube exactly as they do today.
They simply add:
“Test link/code is on ExamLion.”
That's it.
If you can make that experience frictionless, you may not need massive advertising at all. The teacher-student relationship itself becomes your distribution network.
